This is how I take pictures, I take pictures of the things I am seeing so I can look back at those moments later. I don’t experience life in third person, observing myself from overhead like a video game, so why would I want myself in the pictures?

14·2 years agoThe wording of the new App Store rules say developers are responsible for any software offered in an app, and there’s been a bit of debate going on as to what that means in practice.
I haven’t heard if any emulators have or haven’t passed Apple’s review process yet.
Invisible keyboard guy is missing a finger, guy in the top right appears to be missing a face.
The mess of cables is on point though.
That’s one of the big problems with maths teaching in the UK, it’s almost actively hostile to giving any sort of context.
When a subject is reduced to a chore done for its own sake it’s no wonder most students don’t develop a passion or interest in it.

The distributed computing explanation for purpose of the Matrix doesn’t seem to make much more sense than the power plant one.
All of the nodes are continuously occupied by living in the simulation. Unless the machines had a desperate need to understand human society circa 1999, there is nothing useful the machines could do with all the brain power.
Don’t mistake the Netherlands for the Nether Regions either.
I grew up in a very flat part of England, flatness to me is the default and I get genuinely excited by hills.
The TARDIS is a police box, not a regular telephone box. Very few of them survive now.
There’s not many phone boxes left in the UK of any design now.
I’ve seen a few converted into tiny libraries or art displays.
A lack of visible positive role models is a big part of it. When nobody else wants to engage with isolated and directionless young white men, people like Peterson will fill the vacuum. Couple that with amoral algorithms of social media generating engagement at any cost, and they soon have an audience.
Ensuring everyone has opportunities and and a sense of inclusion would go a lot further than just trying to teach everyone to recognise false shepherds. That’s just treating the symptom and not the cause, and would likely end up with them falling prey to another wolf with a better sheepskin.
This was a meme before we even called them memes.
The focus on chronological feeds is what I like about Mastodon, and Fediverse platforms in general. I don’t want to be slapped in the face with what some algorithm with ulterior motives has decided I should see - I want to see the things I follow in the order they were posted.

The Cravendale adverts have escalated a bit I see.
