I don’t understand how streaming became so popular

Have you ever found yourself using someone else’s PC for some reason and they’ve got 20 browser toolbars, 3 anti-viruses and no ad blocker, and they’ve just been using computers that way forever, thinking it’s perfectly normal?

This campaign joins D.A.R.E. as one of the most ironically unsuccessful campaigns of all time.

I mean, before the Internet people spent a hell of a lot more time just hanging around with a small group of friends. You don’t need to buy expensive tools or reach a prospective audience to do anything like that. Boredom motivates people to find ways to entertain themselves, which has unfortunately been one of the largest casualties of online ‘life.’

I’m not attempting to defend the system as they’re trying to build it, but rather to seek understanding of why they take these actions without imagining them as hateful, soulless people.

You could get a hobby. Maybe try to actually make something interesting out of your life instead of just consuming entertainment?

They want people to actually be productive though, not just zombies.

When companies treat you as a criminal even when you do try to do everything their way, it really becomes hard to care.

The way many companies act, you’d think they believe that you have to be a sucker to buy/use their own products.

That’s horrible! I can’t believe how these criminals are wasting the money that should rightfully be getting used for cheese pizza and hot dog parties!

That was always the point of digitizing the world. It’s crazy to me that people didn’t see it coming, but it’s nice that people are actually taking notice now.

Occupy scared the shit out of bankers. It’s no mistake that pop culture became obsessed with divisive issues immediately afterwards.
