Its like comparing the Federation and the Empire from elite dangerous lol.
Empire elitists always talking about how bad the Federation is because of the insane capitalist abuse of power, and billions of humans subjected to horrific conditions.
And then Federation liberals talking about how the Empire literally has legalized slavery and a monarchy that runs on the death of humans.
Although technically there’s also the stereotypical Asian CEO who has a 15% discount on all ships and modules in his systems, so I guess that’s probably the successor to Ali Express lol.
That all being said, the post above this is an article trying to explain how China plating 78 billion trees was a bad idea lmao.
SEATO
It’s honestly baffling to see people actively support Gaza whilst simultaneously supporting Israel as a serious international partner.
The amount of times I’ve read “Yeah but the dems will never drop Israel because they’re a key aly” without questioning why they’re a key aly is too damn high lol.

Here is an example of a successful third party in a 2 party FPTP voting system that people keep insisting is impossible in the US because “muh RCV required”

Memes@lemmy.ml•To be America's enemy is dangerous, but to be its ally is fatalEnglish
15·1 year ago3 years before they even allowed sale of 3rd party F-16s and a nonstop barrage about how effective the 90s era surplus we sold to Ukraine was gonna magically win the war.
I got banned from NCD for sharing this sentiment saying that there was literally no outcome where the US would allow Ukraine to join NATO, regardless of the acting government.
The joke would have landed better if the depicted leftists were not anarchists but were accused/charged by the police of being anarchists
I’m pretty sure furries are typically foss devs not sysadmins.
Real sysadmins blend in so well because they don’t want anything to do with technology and the internet at home.
I just browse “All” and I keep getting slapped with “Kamala actually cares about Gaza and understands the complexities of the situation so plz vote plz I beg we need this so bad no don’t go actually look at the ongoing genocide just plz vote” posts

Memes@lemmy.ml•Who ever thought it sounded good this way? I think it's because headphones weren't widely used back then.English
101·2 years ago2024 I finally tried some Bluetooth headphones after maybe 10+ years.
Still using SBC by default, still no duplex HD audio, and still static driver noise at idle.
What is even the point lol. SBC-XQ only solves the first problem which is still inferior to even the cheapest of quality 3.5mm cable.
Even my Nintendo DS sounds better and it’s limited to 32Khz audio lol.
I’m rocking a desktop octagon with two monitors with all the fancy window animations on and still using less ram that windows on idle lol.

Memes@lemmy.ml•Last one, i've been farming Ai for memes but last one with loreEnglish
12·2 years agoThis is a normal engine search lol. All the memes are from the AI response feature, similar to Bing’s GPT tab.
Also MPC-BE because of nice support with dolby digital stuff lol
Me flexing the thousands of hours I have wasted playing TF2 instead
Trying not to be one of those “but did you try” replies, but personally, I would run Fedora xfce spin to see if anything changes.
Cutting edge kernel modules + minimal X11 DE will rule out stupidity from Wayland and make it easier to try some different settings.
AMD is supposed to work out of box, but I’ve heard there are some quirks with certain GPUs in which you may need to set some kernel flags.

I know lol, but it also doesn’t mean anyone who is opposing the meme isn’t one either.
I’ve seen my fair share of educated/intellectual people deny the circumstances of the Bengali genocide for decades until the Pakistani army went lunatic a couple of years ago and confirmed what was previously considered exaggerated fiction.
Tbf though, I’m fairly sure Tankman made it out alive without a scratch, but that overlooks the people who actually died in Tiananmen.
Not that the US is going to fare any better, especially with the empire beginning to crumble.
