I’m so glad I sold last week at 140. I’ve been meaning to get rid of them as soon as Trump got in office because I had a gut feeling he might fuck something up.

But surprise! China pops up with its own AI and shit hits the fan. It probably won’t last though, but I ain’t buying nvda anymore. Not with their CEO falling in line with every other techno fascists.

  • Step 4 is when you become the senior engineer, show up to work in sweatpants and a dirty t-shirt with Crocs, and don’t go to meetings anymore unless it’s about major architectural decisions, and they can’t fire you because you’ve become an oracle of the company software.

It depends greatly on the game. I’ve seen a huge difference in games like Control where the game itself was used to feature that… Well… Feature! You can see it in the quality of the lighting and the reflections. You also get better illumination on darker areas thanks to radiated lighting. It’s much more natural looking.

  • I really truly appreciate the effort. I don’t know why people stopped caring about these things. The internet has become so commercial that the open standards seem to have become an afterthought to most companies. It’s important to have people like you to ensure the standards are still respected.

  • I’m just so fucking furious at how every company I work for ONLY supports Chrome (and by relationship, Edge). And as soon as I get issues using Firefox their response is “we don’t support Firefox”.

    Like what the fuck???

Our company just installed a proxy system on our PCs that fucked everything up in Firefox and when I called IT for help, that was their response.

  • When I was a poor student I pirated everything. Music, software, games, you name it.

Now that I have a good stable income, I pay for the things I want because I want to encourage artists and developers. But corporations and capitalism are ruining it all.

So, I’m changing my habits. Paying money where it actually has a significant impact on the creators, (like going to live concerts and shows, buying albums directly from the artist or from their own site, buying indie games from small studios, going to watch movies from studios that respect their employees and artists and unions) and pirating the ever loving shit out of everything else coming out of a large corporation.
