In the rare case I do watch a YT video with my phone, I’m using the official YouTube app from Google, because it has all my YT Premium features and can seamlessly Chromecast to many devices.

I just bail on any site that requires age verification. It sucks, but there are still some that work. I do hear that using a VPN can often help.

So far, everything I’ve wanted is freeleech, so that hasn’t been an issue. I continue to seed, but the ratios are much worse for the same amount of time seeding.

I hate that a ratios on the private tracker I joined are so bad. I feel dishonest.

My public torrents routinely have 10-25 times the ratio.

I agree that the status of violence being monopolized is a net good for society, it fact I tend to agree that it may actually be the most important distinction between “civilization” and not.

That said, state violence needs to be intensely reviewed and unjust or overuse of it should be rectified. The U.S. idea of qualified immunity tends to be eliminated, and in the few cases where it is justified can be replaced with a much more narrow policy/practice. And that’s just to start.

Also, restrained violence in defense of self or others, including resisting unjust state violence, is universally acceptable. It’s necessity shows problems with how the monopolizer of violence is imperfectly dispensing violence, which must be expected from an imperfect actor.

I seed, but I’m behind a NAT I don’t control without port forwarding, so I’m not a good seed.

I have 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 in my resolver configuration. I’ve heard that 9.9.9.9 might not be poisoned like this. Besides running my own DNS (not even on a dare), is there a good way to get uncensored DNS resutls?

If you have other “decentralized filesystems” that have “better” behavior than IPFS, you might see if joeyh or yourself can add them as other special remotes.

Given that some films are getting post-release edits before they appear on streaming or physical media, it might be a good idea just from an archival perspective.

I’m not a good judge of piracy methods for consumption, as I am currently willing to pay their prices or do without.
