maybe, but lemmy is not for everyone, most people didn’t use reddit either. i still showed a couple screencaps from the lemmy.world frontpage

The presentation went along like this:
- context about social media and the problems with centralized models
- some news articles about the reddit debacle and Elon being musk
- overview of the dapps framework
- the fediverse and the different apps in it
- the concept of federation and how instances work
at the end I mentioned what I considered to be the most important challenges and steps ahead for the fediverse, thinks like escalation, funding, onboarding and moderation it was fun, the class liked it, i think some were going to try mastdon, it’s a start!
I just did a presentation in my university about lemmy and the fediverse, people loved it!
you are wrong, machine learning are algorithms for pattern recognition… the are used for prediction in uncertain systems… deep learning is mostly unsupervised image processing and classification using neural networks and complex algorithms. AI is an umbrella term yes but it’s more than just machine learning and deep learning… take for example llms, they are a very complex network of CNN and Deep learning clusters. AI will take jobs most definitely… not all of them, but most jobs will be obsolete very fast. take into consideration that the tech is evolving very quickly and the market is not keeping up with it… once one competitor starts using ai, it will get ahead of it’s competitors FAST and EASY. it’s already happening, I work in that industry so I can say with confidence that AI will take millions of jobs in the next 10 years … saying “it will only make our jobs easier” its absolutely wishful thinking
not realizing deep learning is different than generative ai… wich WILL take our jobs. not all AI is the same my dude
because they were different markets ? and different products for different target demographics? idk
that was a scum move yeah. but I don’t know if it counts as stealing it … also the German doll was a doll from an adult comic strip in a newspaper, it wasn’t particularly for children
