What Happened?

I powered a PS5 controller with a US outlet cord joined to USB.

You could hear a loud pop.

I tried to power a PS3 controller with raw power from a cut outlet cord to USB.

A pop was heard.

I though it was fine.

It wasn’t…

I melted my plastic shower curtains in the dryer.
