I was going to ask if it was Metallica who used to tell people to tape their songs off the radio but then got annoyed at Napster for spreading their songs.

What sort of crack are they on that they think unauthorized use of an entire work for commercial gain is fair use? I think copywrite laws are ridiculous but that is a pretty low bar they are trying to set.
They should have to pay for their usage or retrain the model without it. Going to guess they would prefer to pay up.

By “controlled lending system,” do you mean the library? If so, it is ridiculously expensive for them to offer ebooks and audiobooks. One ebook costs $60-100 and they can only lend the licensed copy for two years. You would think audiobooks would be more expensive to do but publishers charge roughly the same.

When you do not have much of a bank account and you could easily be starting at tens of thousands in legal fees, it’s pretty easy to be unable to find them.
Just ask them to re-image it. An individually bought key might not pass audit. I recall my company getting audited by Adobe for Acrobat and we had to pay about $12k sure there were lots of individually purchased copies of Acrobat. Adobe did not care if we showed them the receipt for it.

At least the developer for Small Radios Big Televisions is handing it out for free now. Looks like a pretty decent game.

Must be the server you are connecting to. Most of mine is not porn like Last Week Tonight and the stuff that is porn is pretty vanilla stuff like Hookup Hotshots and Kinky Family.
A week’s worth for my family of four is generally two bags. Shopping for more than that just leaves a bunch of rotten produce.
The car industry lobbies to tear up public infrastructure, dingus.
You don’t have to give up personal transportation to build public transportation. Are you high? And no, it does not take infinite money. How the fuck do you think that they’re are cities who have already implemented decent public transportation got them? They certainly did not have infinite money.
Are you always this defeatist?
You seem to live in a car centric city with really shitty public transportation. My city has decent regular bus service and for those who need extra help, they have more handy centric busses that will directly pick people up on a schedule. I think even the tiny town I grew up in has a service that does the same because there are tons of older people that are not able to drive. We also have a shuttle service to the train station if you live too far away from one.
There are solutions to these problems that tons of cities have had no problem implementing. It sounds like either yours is not one of them or possibly it is not a service you need so you just plain do not think about it.
Generally there is at least one bus stop or train stop by a grocery store. The amount of walking is roughly the same.
It’s super simple. You stop there on your way home. When I was in Berlin, I would generally hit up the grocery store a few times a week. I did not have to worry about produce going bad because it would be used with one of my meals on the next couple of days.
Three or four bags of groceries is totally doable on a bus or train.
The fiber is not the issue. I’m good on that. It was the spiciness that was the problem. I can handle a little bit of spice but there was pretty much no reprieve.
Most vegans in the US do not eat food that mimics meat.
Most Western butt holes cannot handle Indian food that well. The couple times I went to Indian weddings, I was clamoring for anything that would not burn my butthole. The good combined with the ridiculous amount of alcohol made the toilets cry.
How many people called you stupid for buying meat free alternatives? I largely do not eat meat and I can count on one hand the number of times it has been mentioned in the past decade. It’s also only comparatively expensive because meat is so subsidized.
I mostly do not eat meat because it is fucking terrible for the environment.
They do not get a tax break for it. They do get cheap PR though.
What Swartz did was not even close. What he did was absolutely fair use. He downloaded shit from JSTOR while at MIT which is fine because MIT allows students and employees to access JSTOR. There was no evidence that he shared anything.
