IF there was some reason, first of all, God could give us the ability to understand if he wanted to, as he is not supposed to be limited. Second, it would imply someone is getting something from it, God, us, or otherwise, that for some reason, God can’t give in a way that doesn’t involve evil. But again, if he is never limited, that shouldn’t be the case.

Also, if cancer and other diseases are supposed to exist and kill people for some kind of purpose we don’t understand, why do we have the ability to treat, vaccinate and cure those same diseases? If medicine gets to the point of preventing every ailment, then why does that “oh so important” reason for it existing not matter anymore? It would seem if these things NEED to exist, we shouldn’t be able to prevent them from happening under any circumstances.

I’m not going to say piracy is right or wrong.

What I will say is if everyone had access to that replicator, and everyone replicated everything in the store and left, the store would close down, and the products would stop being made.

Likewise, piracy is only viable because not everyone does it. If literally every person pirated the games or movies of any given company, that company would no longer be profitable and would close down.

Piracy is getting something for free because other people pay for it.

I’m not in USA but if there are 2 movie style bad guys and 1 says pick me I’ll kill strangers, and 2 says pick me I’ll kill strangers and your friends and family, maybe you as well, and then some random 3rd guy says, pick me or no one and I won’t kill anyone, but one of those 2 bad guys will be picked for you via a coin flip, but at least you get to feel good that you didn’t personally pick the death of people, it’s not illogical to pick the first one.

Maybe you have such good morals you can pick the 3rd or refuse to pick at the expense of possibly additional people you care about, or maybe you don’t personally have anyone in your life that would be affected by the 2nd bad guy so it doesn’t matter to you, but if that’s the case, you’re equally guilty of choosing the choice that makes you feel good just because you don’t have to deal with the consequences of your choice and can ignore what’s actually happening.
