I think YTM is doing some internal tuning where the same song just sounds juicier/better on YTM than it does on Spotify. Same actually applies to YTM vs literally the same upload on YouTube.
I can be controversial or annoying because I always require proof and facts for whatever people are saying/claiming. This has gotten me into a lot of heated debates, even got myself banned from “YouShouldKnow” for saying I need more proof of Israeli’s genocide (that was long ago, got more proof and changed my mind). If I do not agree on some subjectively obvious topic, please do not assume I’m being unfriendly, evil or a troll. I do try my best to approach any subject with neutral and open mind. Just call me autistic with OCD

Random, but why even bother with Spotify in 2026? Ytm has larger library, the audio quality isn’t worse anymore (I even hear some songs sound better on YTM), feels like there are more plugins/extensions for anything YouTube. There are also playlist downloaders so you can organize your library locally.
Recently started using this with the lyrics addon and it just looks so visually pleasing, unlike Spotify.

Samsung 860 and 870. Interestingly enough my very first SSD (840) is still alive. The thing is ancient and has a power on time of 1146 days.

I’m slowly starting to believe the weak parts on SSDs are not wear and tear, but controllers glitching and dying. The two SSDs that I have lost, became goners overnight with unresponsive controller (first one lasted about 6 years, other one about 4), and few days ago a friend of mine also lost his SSD, the service told it’s the controller.

You can see who is downloading from you. Granted, that’s only IP

Not sure what this comment means. I’m in a poor eastern country and I use VPN to Netherlands to browse torrent trackers. Pretty sure my country is far more problematic than central EU, but for whatever reason my poor country protects US interests more than most of the EU

Thank you for this list

we have stood with the artist community against piracy
Correct me if I’m wrong, but Anna’s archive is not giving you song downloads, but rather metadata
over a massive music data scrape
So when are you going to sue AI companies?

Is there an ethical music platform?

live in Latvia
Of all the places in the world, she/he lives in the same small state with 1.8 million people as me. TIL
Why libs come into leftists communities and try to hawk their deranged shit is beyond me.
In all fairness, I didn’t notice the community I’m on
Go look at Scandinavian places like Freetown and learn something.
Oh the irony
You’re seemingly blaming bad governance on the system being exploited by that government, and then saying the system should be eliminated, even tho elimination of the system would be costlier to everyone than trying to fix it/maintain it, and maybe a more logical choice would be to target the government, like it happened in many other parts of the world, including my country, where people generally have respect for police and police respect the people, no drama or unnecessary fights, lil bro.
Exactly. Stereotyping fundamentally needed systems for a society to function into your typical hate train is as stupid as it can get. We, as a society, cannot safely function without law & order, even if the institute responsible for it on some level is corrupted or filled with toxic people - the system is very much needed and you do not want to see what’s on the other side of the spectrum.
Instead of being edgy and making memes about people whose job is to protect us while also risking their lives, why not instead start with asking a question “but why are we where we are and how can we change this course?”. It’s definitely not by alienating the other side and making them appear as enemies. You guys could learn a thing or two from Scandinavia. Maybe that’s the problem - I’m from the region, so my tolerance towards 13-year old behaviour is lower.
Because the system (law & order) is necessary for a functional society.

Under copyright concerns. Not as fun as I’d hoped

There was actually recent findings about how that ad used copyrighted font and… music? Don’t remember the second thing, but funny thing is that the ad broke copyright laws
I get your argument, but most people dislike natural sound and prefer a V curve. To me, it sounds like that’s what google tried to enhance. Might be bad for you, but good for two other people, including me, who regrets buying HD6xx and €250 amp
