Memes@lemmy.ml•We need some propaganda about the USSR
117·21 days agoUltimately though, the greed of capitalism is what bothers people more than anything but greedy thinking is how you make money. The one thing no one can seem to do in this country (US) is not being able to do something without the, “what’s in it for me,” mindset BUT!!! that’s because people want compensation for their time, effort and labor and thus isn’t greed but wanting fair pay for their time. We’ve hit the point where labor and wages don’t make sense to the common worker while the 90k$ and up earners aren’t doing so bad.
That’s not saying the lower wage workers don’t deserve fair pay but at the same time certain jobs have more societal importance and comparing a grocery bagger to a radiologist, it’s like you’re out of your minds if you think a bagger deserves as much of a pay as the person looking inside your body.
So then we look at the other bigger picture which is college tuition so people go the other way around with certifications but then people have to put in field training and labor and get the internship out of the way.
I love capitalism and hate it at the same time I really do! But I also really don’t think I could live in anything else.
Influencer culture wouldn’t be what it is today without capitalism and the spearheading of monetization.
Anything you do: “for the hustle,” is you working with capitalism. Any influencer side shop where they’re the sole creators and using a dropshipping service, you’re enjoying capitalism.
Captialsim is the most under-described socioeconomic-political system ever!!! When you’re a kid they always used to go: Work hard, Play hard but they don’t underscore that greed behind it the fact that at some point in your life you WILL not you might BUT WILL say: What’s in it for me? And that right there is how you make money and that’s capitalism.
That’s the freezing cold, dirty, truth of capitalism: What’s in it for me? - runs society.
You can have a democratic and capitalist society; you can’t with people who are able to legally hold over 500mil.

1·2 months agoI am on team why hasn’t no one been arrested yet in the US for the Epstein-Trump files. I am also on team fuck ICE. When I said they’re the party of law and order it’s more the stereotype or the front/portrayal but I know and you know that they’re not that and to be honest I regret saying that they are and as much as I want to edit my original comment I won’t.
I mean shit man there’s been more arrests over the files in other countries which is hardcore evidence with authorities 100 bajillion percent being able to read them unredacted (because they redacted them). We’re all waiting for the next president to do something about it. I’m hoping the next one won’t be some geriatric that will destroy the country.
I think that’s one of the biggest issues we’ve been dealing with and just passively accepting; Is the fact that we keep voting in out of touch 70 something to 80 something year olds but they’re not gonna be for the modern issues. At least Biden had handlers and people actually looking out fro modern issues.
You know what Trump is looking out for, himself. He’s selling merch to make sure he has a revenue after he’s done being president because for a fucking narcissist like him, he’s going to end up in some state of faux depression to which he’s going to be into a full self examination from the internal depths of his mind and he will never look or sound the same afterwards. Trust me him being impeached directly impacted him in the way he could see that no one likes him.
It’s wicked funny that Hitler was also only valued by his party for his voice and speech giving skills.
Fun Fact: Hitler’s mustache was actually to impress the person he looked up to the most. I learned a lot about Hitler when I was trying to make a comment about the comparisons between Trump and Hitler one time and ended up spending a week learning about Hitler. Honestly, a fascinating prick that invaded the Nazi party that no one really liked him in, in the first place. He was an absolute outsider and supposedly had to prove himself to be in it and he idolized someone within the Nazi party and tried to flatter that person by imitating his mustache.
The fact that both Hitler and Trump invaded political matters where they were not wanted in the first place is fascinating in detail

23·2 months agoI understand that. I self identified as a communist from 17-22 but portrayed it as Democratic and then around 23 I became politically agnostic/undecided and then I went back to my roots as an anarchist and then surprisingly, I tested out the republican side and it’s so easy to become brainwashed and I regret testing that side. I was becoming brainwashed with extra conditioner and I didn’t realize it until I realized that what I was saying wasn’t in line with how I truly felt.
Now I’m back to being a libertarian socialist but I can appreciate capitalism but not to the degree a republican does.
Republicans are the side of law and order and Democrats are the party of understand the countrys needs and I’m not gonna lie if we had a system where they freakin’ worked together, this would be an actual superpower of a country.
I think it’s broken that we have a new political system every 4 years with choices and mandates and laws that dissolve two terms after the seated president leaves, making it so that if said president that put those in motion became president again after those 8 years they’d pick up where they left off which seems dictatorial. (currently happening)
But it is broken that we flip-flop political systems every four to eight years and then expect change for the better and having our voices heard.

Well it depends who’s president. If there’s a Democrat than the liberal news networks expand their reach and it becomes liberal media dominating. If there’s a Republican than the conservative news networks expand their reach and it becomes conservative media dominating.
