I just did some searxng and there is some options, but all require modifying the car in one way or another. I think I’m going to go that route. Thanks for making me look :)

That’s good to hear, this is my first one and had a bit of sticker shock replacing it yesterday. Yeah, my car does have the auto idle off switch but you have to toggle it every start-up to disable it. I dont mind it when I’m in the city stopped at lights but when its shutting off at each stop sign its super annoying.

Literally me. Also, freaking AGM batteries… so expensive. To support the auto idle off feature that I despise I have to buy a more expensive battery.

Pretty much the same here. the storage to quality ratio isn’t a big enough difference to make it worth it to me for anything over 1080. 720p is noticable but I’ll still use it no problem.

Torrents yes, always VPN. If you’re doing the debrid route, not required but personally I still do.

I am a big fan of mullvad VPN as they take no info from you to create an account. Can pay with crypto. No name, email or anything tied to their service. Used proton, nord and pia in the past.

Exactly what I do… I keep thinking it’s too good to last. I still download things if I know I’m going to rewatch them a lot.

Latest example I ran into is on android TV you cannot change your dns settings in wifi config. On regular android you can. I had to spend a couple hours fiddling with my routers networking (I was doing some weird routing for a specific network that android TV is on with a VPN tun only for that network). And if it just had the ability to change the dns settings to a static value I wouldn’t of had to do that. Why would they do that?

Yup, I’m using transmission in a docker container that ensures my VPN is always connected. Nice to not have to worry about that.

Yeah, literally just alternative currency at this point for me too.
