the first step if you have 0 clue is find out if the switch you have can be hacked via software. yhr ones yhat can be hacked via software, are the ~20M switched produced before May 2018. If your switch was made after (e. g model with the better battery life switch lite, switch oled, the few patched oh switch after 2018) it requires a hard mod to hack, or alternatively use a switch cart.
firmware for the switch im particular doesnt matter much unless youre hacking it with pegasus(?), which means you had an ancient swotch that eas never updated past like fw 4.0
though if you had a bad experience with jailbreaking nintendo stuff, I dont recommend it unless youre willing to learn about the upkeep about how to handle updates and stuff. the switch is alightly harder than previous devices (and imo isnt a high bar, but if you had problems with previous devices, its not looking good)

how I see it is what one intends to use the software for. for ones self, and for commision work, the other options are perfectly fine (and imo encouraged). the sole reason why someone would use the adobe products is if theyre looking to work in a company already using the suite, or they already just happen to have the skillset already in it, and switching would change workflow.
anyone learning from the start imo should consider the other options first.

the more convenient something is, the more its going to be targetted. people are lazy to (optionally) get a vpn(depending on jurisdiction), download and watch their content.

id imagine Sony is behind this given they have the most to lose from anime piracy specifically in the U.S
the body at times is such a rudimentary way of regulating health, as increasing your body temperature to destroy the infection is like the emergency button
have you seen the sharp decline of fossil fuel based energy in some locations? The whole point in the necessary move for a battery storage in the long term is to minimize the requirement to boot up gas facilities after work hours, where peak power usage happens and solar is minimum.
The problem with global usage is poorer nations cannot afford to switch off dirty energy, and richer nations have a harsh post work hour usage. Lowering usage doesn’t fix the problem that there are dozens of countries that will still continue to burn dirty till some country invests in a cleaner option.
put in perspective, even though China and the US has the most power consumption, unlike GDP, it doesn’t take that many more countries after them to equate how much power they consume. So unless theres a global shutoff of power (which on its own, will have a plethora of long lasting problems if everything just shuts down), the best solution is to swap the type of energy that generates the most heat/green house gasses out.
we’re basically hoping the massive push to batteries/Solar by both China and the U.S is successful in the next decade as they are the countries with the highest KW/h usage to lay a gameplan to get neighboring countries to do the same if it proves to be fruitful.
my domain is my media server, so id rather not end my domain.
insee it as apple is a full vertical stack conpany who doesnt want to share its vertical stack as it cuts into their profit.
its what nvidia is trying to do, and if windows for arm takes off, i bet that nvidia is ready to attempt to remove all competition on windows due to how reliant some sectors of the industry are for nvidia hardware
if its on carpet, ots okayish, if its on hard floor its a bad time. speaking from experience
again, its diminishing the security features of the different forms of communication. one (likely) requires connecting to a secondary powered device, likely with a 10 key minimum password length of various characters or a series of login prompts. the other is a protocol which connects either by pairing or a 4 digit pin… just because security exploits exists for all connections doesnt mean all communication standards have equivalent security risk.
the protocols on how Bluetooth is handled is far different than the ones how wifi is handled, same as NFC and cellular. to equate all their security as “the same” is very dismissive, especially comparing to wifi and cellular which typically arent direct device to device connections.
nfc dodges its problems because its for the most part off until you open an app that uses it, so its already doing what a user should be doing for security reasons.
it can be a security issue leaving it on. also can drain battery as its occasionally pinging for nearby devices.

the advtage they have is that they wouldnt be able to be easily be influenced by money, because well, they have a lot already. it would probably be the main reason why neither poltical party would want them to run, because they wouldnt be able to be controlled as easily. a lot of powerful people would not want a populist to gain control.

it was because crowdstrike themselves notified that this specific instance did not affect their linux nor osx distributions of security, and was windows specific.
you can to some extent, its not like you couldnt throw an emulator designed for one architecture to one with a subset, as its already shown on the PS4 for example that you could throw dolphin and cemu on a ps4 running linux. (not that it would run nice, but its possible).
its only harder if youre trying to do it in the base OS necause the base OS is usually lacking a graphics API rather than it be a hardware issue itself that presents problems. Its why jokingly people are saying the Xbox Series may be able to run PS3 soon beccause dev mode was updated with Mesa, which includes support from both opengl and vulkan. And alien hardware isnt usually always the issue, given random devices are capable of pf running Sega Saturn, which on its own lile the PS3, had extremely unique hardware

if its similar to marijuana, prices of drugs drop heavily when legalized. as long as something stays forbidden, the cost is extremely high, especially drugs that are popular with wealthy people.
the main selling point of mpchc is madvr. there’s basically no other competitors that utilize the GPU to make the media your watching better on the same level as madvr.
thats the path of fast food chains now. get popular by being good, expand quickly, sell to private equity. Jersey mikes went PE early 2025. Daves hot chicken also went PE last year so expect it to go down the shitter soon if it hasn’t already.
